RIBA STAGE 0-1
Brief & Project Requirements, Feasibility Studies
Every project starts with the initial consultation and a site visit to establish a brief, budget, constraints and a strategy. A feasibility can be undertaken to investigate the potential of project if unknown. The feasibility study consists of an initial site assessment, a measured survey, site research and preliminary design options.
RIBA STAGE 2
Concept Design, Sketches
Following the site appraisal and review of the brief several sketch scheme will be drawn for review. Once the most viable option is identified an outline scheme can be developed, costed and reviewed with the client.
RIBA STAGE 3
Final Design, Planning Application
In stage 3 the design is finalised and checked against the budget before submitting for planning approval (if required).
RIBA STAGE 4
Construction Drawings & Building Regulations
In this stage the approved scheme is refined through technical drawings, specifications and schedules for tender pricing and ultimately construction of the building. The specification is best thought at the recipe on how the building goes together and will contain every essential ingredient to enable to the builder to build the required design.
RIBA STAGE 5
Site Inspections, Contract Administration
Once the right builder is found and work starts on site regular site inspections will be carried out to monitor the building work and workmanship.

HANDOVER AND IN USE
RIBA STAGE 6-7
Snagging and Sign-off
This stage consists of the final inspections and advise on the resolution of defects. Agree final account and issue completions certificate. Then Enjoy!
