Over the last two years I have collaborated with Happynest Homes, applying my expertise in high-end residential design to the evolving world of modular construction. By bringing the same level of architectural rigour, spatial planning, and technical detailing found in my traditional builds to the modular sector, I've helped craft prefabricated homes that feel bespoke, permanent, and deeply connected to their surroundings.
The Project: Floya
The Floya is a high-performance, single-unit modular home (39m²) that merges Scandinavian-inspired design with off-grid capability. Built to full residential standards, it offers a sustainable, planning-friendly solution for full-time living, retreats, or annexes.
My Involvement & Services

Concept & Technical Design: Developing the architectural form, overhanging gable features, and spatial layouts.

Technical Detailing: Specifying high-performance envelopes using sustainable Thermowood cladding and standing seam roofing.

Eco-Strategy: Integrating low-energy systems including MVHR (Heat Recovery), thermal batteries, and high-spec insulation.

Compliance: Navigating the technicalities of the Caravan Sites Act to provide a simplified planning route without compromising on residential quality.
